It was still just as stupid to have their kids around when they knew there could be violence, that's bad parenting, they failed to keep their children safe.

The police failed to keep a cool head, apparently a water bottle is a good enough reason to shoot someone.

The officers that fired their weapon there needs to be let go ASAP. If that was in BC i would not feel safe to have someone as trigger happy as those individuals in an authoritative position.

Imagine the Stanley cup riot ended in a rain of rubber bullets because of a water bottle.

At no point did he say all protests end violently, he simply put that bringing kids to something like this isn't smart because it's known that protests CAN become violent. Let's brush up on our reading skills here and not just jump to conclusions.

I was surprised at this, however, there definitely are cops out there that are jumpy and trigger happy, which is a bad combination.
