Four high-end cars impounded after speeding through Vancouver Four high-end cars impounded after speeding through Vancouver (with video) Four friends -- all men in their early 20s -- each were given excessive speeding tickets and had their luxury vehicles impounded early this morning after RCMP caught them street racing at over double the posted speed limits in North Burnaby. The four Burnaby and Coquitlam men, ranging in age from 21 to 23 years old, were caught by police around 2:20 a.m. speeding west on Highway 1 toward the Ironworker's Memorial Bridge. When an officer caught up to the four near the Cassiar Tunnel they were going over 160 km/h in a 70 km/h zone, according to an RCMP media release. Three of the four drivers still had their learner's licences and had been issued driving prohibitions in the past two years. Police impounded the cars, which were registered to each driver, and fined the men $483 for excessive speeding. ...
