Driver's license number
 

Wondering if the DL# on my driver's license can be used to signed up for things (credit cards, etc.) if someone had gotten a hold of it.

can be used for signing up a cellphone contract as well.

seems pretty sensitive for the number to be this big on the license. well i called and asked , pretty much just wait for things to happen before i can do anything about identity theft and such

dont worry, they need other things besides the DL# to sign up credit cards... if you sign up for credit cards at banks, the DL name obviously wouldnt match the bank account holder.. if they go get a prepaid, I believe they need 2 pieces of ID, 1 picture and 1 non but both has to be government issued...
