@ and other symbols not working So I have been experiencing some issues for a while now but can`t seem to figure it out. Periodically the symbols on my keyboard won`t type out what it`s supposed to. The following is a few examples of what will appear when I attempt to use the following symbols At sign = " Question Mark = É - My keyboard language is set to English US. - Symbols work fine if i`m typing in a notepad but not when i`m typing in this forum text box, login boxes etc. - This only happens once in a while. I will be typing fine for days then out of no where it will happen, then will randomly go back to normal after some days without me doing anything - I have used 2 different keyboards for some months and it has happened on both . - Tried searching around google but nothing has really been useful yet. Everyone always chalks it up to language but as stated it`s set to English US so that`s not it. Please help :okay: |

Had this problem as well, computer kept switching languages randomly. I just kept changing it back |
had same problem before and CTRL+shift worked. if that doesn't work i'm not sure what else there is. |
..................... sometimes you activate the shortcut to ch ange your keyboard to french... should be on bottom right corner keyboard icon |
See, it`s not a language thing because the language is still set to English US so I have no fucking idea this is hella bunk. |
this always happens to me however i just go to the status bar and reselect english US.. that's weird how its not working with you, have you tried uninstalling canada (french) language pack? i don't know how to do it but i think you should be able to, give it a shot. |
try to see if you can delete the language in the region and language control panel |
ctrl+shift+fn buttons press twice and problem solved |
control panel-> ease of access-> Make the keyboard easier to use -> add a dvorak keyboard change other keyboard input setting(at the bottom page) -> keyboard and language tab -> general Make sure English (us) is listed under the default input language and under the "installed service" click "add" and make sure english (us) is selected. If you have other language there remove them and only leave English (us) under installed services. See if that help. |
just restart the computer |
ctrl shift will fix the É/? thing always happens to me when im playing shooting games like cs LOL |
Delete all languages except English-US... What I did on the work computer.. |
Thanks for all the replies. So everything that has been mentioned I've tried to no avail. However, in typical fashion some hours later it just started randomly working fine again. The mystery continues! |
