Driver's side door lock does not work

So I've noticed over the past while that the power lock on my driver's side door does not work properly. I've flipped the switch to lock, the passenger's door and the hatch locks but the driver's door does not lock successfully. I see the lock trying to budge (which tells me the motor still works) but it doesn't lock, so whenever I arm my vehicle I have to manually lock the driver's side everytime.

Anybody have any pointers about this? Thanks

+1 Door lock acutator.

Dont know what you drive, but they die more often in Honda cars for some reason.

Had to replace them 3 times on parent's Odyssey :fulloffuck:

so I took my panel out, and here's what I found.

Turns out the rod of the actuator (at least that's what I think it is :derp:) was just dangling freely inside my door panel. If that's it, would that mean I would still have to replace the entire actuator or just the rod that's been misplaced?

Put the rod back in and tighten the screw. Check if it works while the door panel's still off.

I might need to grab another screw then.. the bottom one's totally flat along the top, it didn't keep the rod in when I put it back
