Homeland picked up some awards at the Golden Globes and some people have been saying its better than Zero Dark Thirty. Time to watch Homeland.

seroiusly, i didn't think the movie is that good. really? nomination? for what? acting was close to none existent. Try acting in front of a freaking green screen imagining there was a tiger in Life of Pi.

this movie was done to death, how OBLindin got killed was like old new many years ago so it's like we know how the movie was going to turn out.

don'tget me wrong, it did a decent job to put this movie together, but it was not worthy of anything. it could have been zero dark twenty and not be bin lindin related.

This movie was fantastic. I seriously question the intelligence of those on these forums that found Django and Zero Dark Thirty boring.

Comparing it to Homeland? Please. Homeland is ENTIRELY fiction and isn't even on the same level as Zero Dark Thirty.

Homeland has so many flawed unrealistic characters and romances that detracts from any 'realism' the show tries to portray.

I bet the people here that found Django and Zero Dark boring are the same ilk that continue to support movies like Death Race 3 and Fast Five movies in the theaters.

I felt that this movie was trying to check off too many boxes as it was playing.

Post 9/11 paranoia? Check
Other terrorist attacks? Check
Bureaucratic red tape? Check
Human error? Check
Zealousy and obsession with catching Bin Laden? Check

In my opinion, the best one of these types of "Post 9/11 movies" is The Kingdom.

It explores the shock and brutality of a terrorist attack. The impact it has on those left alive. The importance of discovering the truth of the attack by those investigating. And the perspective of authority figures from an Islamic country just trying to keep the peace.

It was a solid movie in my opinion and I get that it got mediocre reviews but it was a far sight better than ZDT.

Traitor is another one I'd recommend above ZDT and while I enjoyed Hurt Locker, the film is a little cowboy for my liking.

If you want to commit this amount of time to watching a movie, watch Django Unchained. Otherwise expect your butt to go numb before they make reference to the Times Square SUV bombing attempt.

Also, don't get why people said its a rip off of Homeland. It's more of a rip off of reality.

Kingdom was a great film. Only problem I have with it was an FBI team investigating in the Middle East. Um, what??!? Other than that it was a great flick.

(Don't worry folks, these aren't spoilers)

The FBI team was investigating an American community and had permission from a Saudi prince. In the film it made sense.

Watching Homeland pisses me off... its like for people who doesn't understand diplomacy and foreign covert operations. The characters are often exaggerated and at times laughable.

and it seems these days all you have to do is make a movie about a war with the american looking like the good guys and you will get an oscar. oh yea, FUCK ARGO piece of shit movie
