I like the guys at Esplanade Auto Haus in North Van. Really cool guys, and honest.

I owned a 90 300TE and didn't realize how bad the rust issues were when I bought it, and 4matic is a huge issue on early cars. I sold it and almost bought another, Japanese import, low km, better all around...until I took it to Esplanade for an inspection. Tons of issues with it, they gave me the honest advice of running away from it, which I did. Bought my current Subie wagon and never been happier.

Though I still covet 300TE wagons around town when I see them, I would love a 5spd model which are rare but do pop up. Design and quality is outstanding in many aspects, but MAN are parts expensive, and maintenance is a PITA.
