Windows 8 RTM

Who's using it?
Have been running it on my N470 atom nettop in the past 2 days, it's so much smoother and somehow the battery life is better than with WinXP installed. Loading photoshop and newer apps are still slow, but very satisfied with the system speed.

The metro UI is definitely growing on me, but a device with touch screen and multi touch will benefit much more. I can't wait until to test it on a desktop with faster speed

i'm sure that's limited by the amount of ram in your nettop...not so much the OS

I'll likely skip Win8 altogether since they wont let you disable metro...deal breaker for desktop users. A shame because there's a nice overhaul under the hood..

I think there's lots of potential on tablets/phone/next xbox and I hope they integrate all that seamlessly

MS will release a good OS, then a bad OS, then a good one again... look at the past MS OS's.. :lawl:

not sure about RTM, I disabled metro in the developer preview copy and this is what it looks like

I thought they disabled that function on the new releases so your stuck with the metro UI

Seems detrimental to force everyone to use the metroui.
