I came into this thread thinking that it was free admission for everyone...........

Gumby 08-13-2012 10:58 AM

And like last year, it is on a weekday...

I haven't been to the PNE in at least 8yrs, I so want to go this year and eat all of the terrible food that is so tasty

Of course, doing it on the weekend would be very poor planning

only kids...on a Monay??? Weak......

I think you guys are mistaken. Free admission on August 20th is for all ages. Above where it says free admission for kids 13 and under is regarding the whole fair period. They implemented this instead of the tickets you get in your report card.

For the longest time I could remember, free admission morning was on a Saturday. Then starting in 2011, and now 2012, they moved it to a Monday.

The old Chinese gramps & grannies don't have jobs so they will flock there regardless which day of the week it is. Regular people who work M-F 9-5 now can't really take advantage of the free admission morning. Cash grab I tell ya!

From a marketing standpoint, it's a good move for them. Why have the free admission day on a weekend, when it'll be packed regardless? Better for them to have it on a weekday when it's less busy.

It makes sense for them to do the Free Day on a Monday

Their weekends and long weekends are already notoriously busy

Monday would most likely be their slowest day and making it the Free admission day would drive traffic to that day.

Gone are the days when it was FREE on a weekend

First time in a long time not able to go on free admission day. In California right now....... 108 degrees heat.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 12:20 PM.
