1999-2000 civic alarm

I've got a 2000 civic siR with a factory alarm/immobilizer. I'd like it to "beep" when I alarm it, so I know its locked without having to watch the lights flash. Is this doable?

Step 1: Forget all about the factory alarm
Step 2: Get a new Compustar alarm. If not a Compustar, get a Compustar :)
Step 3: Get someone that actually owns a soldering iron to install said alarm
Step 4: Add whatever options you want (like an actual shock sensor, glass sensor, proper immobilizer, siren, LED, remote starter, trunk pop, window roll up modules, Tilt sensor and back up battery.)

Thats about it. Your stock alarm is barely an alarm at all. Please don't ever rely on it!

So with all that "said work", it will beep; right? :D
