Help!!! Where to buy Couples' Rings?

As some of you may know... I'm leaving this Sunday for Australia for a grand total of 1 year.

As my girlfriend and I have already been together for 6 years, I'd thought it would be more than appropriate to buy her and myself a set of matching couples rings (nothing too fancy that borders onto a wedding ring).

Anyone know where I can get these?
Budget is anywhere from $100 to $400 for the pair.

THANKS!

tried the usual suspects. they all have either wedding rings (which are not what i'm looking for) or really nice promise rings for the lady only.

Piccini at Lansdowne is a go-to spot for couples rings. They do engraving as well. Try looking online, or maybe even Tiffanys for a promise ring? :D

OP: if you're looking for something simple, sterling silver, fake diamond bling, but nice design and cheap for 2 ppl ( in your words $100-400 ), go to this store in Lansdowne, inside across from jysk and home outfitter, its a corner store in the hallway that sells couples' ring. Good quality, unique designs and affordable.

If budget is higher then go to a real jeweler.

Dont forget the cut, carat, color when purchasing real diamond.

Good luck bud.

uhmm if you can drop by metrotown, theres like a kiosk thats been in metro for a while that sells them. its near the american eagle ish? close to the skytrain exit. or try mimosa

The store that HondaGuy talks about is Piccini. That place has shit rings, wouldn't recommend.

Just get a cheap diamond ring and a complimentary band.. about $500?

CP.AR 08-22-2012 10:32 PM

bought the rings from Piccini at Lansdowne.
Sure the quality isn't the greatest, but it's exactly what we were looking for and we're kind of strapped for time.
Also didn't break the bank :)

RabidRat 08-23-2012 05:17 AM

How much was it in the end?

BaoTurbo 08-23-2012 08:33 PM

It's around less than $100 at piccini. For a pair. It's not anything special with rocks, just sterlig silver mostly so not that much all in all

Matlock 08-23-2012 08:49 PM

My gf and I both got rings from Piccini, maybe 6 years ago. (We've been together about 8)
Both rings have unfortunately been lost at separate occasions.

Sure they're cheap, but cheap rings are good practice rings for when you get the real thing. Could you imagine losing a ring that you spent a shit load of money on?

I've learned that I hate wearing rings and if I do ever get married I'm going to see if I can just get it tattooed on. Plus, it's safer for guys like me who work with electrical and construction hazards.

CP.AR 08-23-2012 11:31 PM

we paid 114 all in since we got them engraved too.
not a bad looking ring imo. the style fits both a dude and a girl really well

HondaGuy 08-24-2012 03:57 PM

Glad you guys found something you like. That place has some decent styles just to wear for awhile until you're ready for the real deal.
I made a purchase there long long time ago. Until recently last year, I got engaged and got custom designed band with gia certified diamond for her in Asia.

Once you are ready for the real rings go to Jilieav Jewellery on Howe Street. Very easy to deal with and cheap pricing.

If you have been together for 6 years and you are leaving for a year and want to stay together, why aren't you getting engaged, just out of curiosity?

beproud 01-17-2013 11:45 AM

Birks! Tons of selections
