call the non emergency hot line and say u are getting in a heated dispute with the guy and that a cop might be needed, and let the scumbag try to justify the ticket given to you to the cops.

ps: looks like hes barely over 5 feet.

You take the receipt to :

Vancouver, BC (Head Office)

817 Denman Street
Vancouver, BC V6G 2L7
(604) 681-8797
(604) 684-0329 Fax
questions@diamondparking.com

Tell them to PULL UP the picture that was taken at the lot.

Show them Wo Fung's receipt and the (chick/lady) will google street view it.

After they match the address to Wo Fung's lot (8400 block of Alexandra)

They will void your ticket.

In case you were wondering where exactly the headoffice is.... It's between DQ and Zakkushi, enter from the back and go downstairs straight to the office.

This has happened to me and they voided it... just an annoyance.

** Also last time they wrote that I was @ the lot of Kingsway (he forgot to change his machine back to Richmond) which was easier to fight my case since he didn't even get the correct lot and streetview proved that it was in Richmond not Kingsway.

But there has been more than 10 x I have heard this incident so it should be easily to be resolved.

After all that you should have sent them an invoice for all the time of yours they wasted.

Bingo. It's all fine and well to say, "no big deal, just take a couple hours out of your day to go 50 miles out of your way to go to their office and SHOW someone they're wrong"... not everyone wants to waste the time and gas to deal with a bogus ticket, especially when it happens repeatedly.

And of course, they're counting on the 95% of people who will just pay it without a second thought - until someone brings them down, they'll keep preying on those people.

One of the best things to do, is complain to the businesses served by that lot. If they have customers regularly coming in and threatening not to do business there because of unfair ticketing... they'll have a lot more pull with the city to have something done about it.

GLOW 09-01-2012 07:39 AM

every time a person gets a DPS ticket first thing is to go in to the store/restaurant, talk to the manager, bitch him out, then tell him you're never coming back and telling your friends not to b/c DPS are crooks and ticket their customers....

hopefully enough bitching and decreased business will force business/property owners will realize it's better to use a more legit parking company (if there is such a thing) because it's going to affect their bottom dollar at some point.

i might be dreaming here but that's my opinion

Gridlock 09-01-2012 08:12 AM

They've got you covered there too, as they lease the store from the property owner. The property owner in turn gets a call from these douche's saying "we can show you an extra $1000 per month!" and boom...you now have pay parking.

Just a friendly reminder to RSers
When you eat food in a DPS parking lot, you always need to bring your food receipts in case.

Then come back later and ticket his car for walking off the lot :troll:

FRStan 09-15-2012 10:09 PM

Just got a ticket from this lot. Also got a video of the dude ticketing my car. He saw three people walk by my car and wrote on the ticket 3 people walk off the lot.
God damn it, I was in True's Tea! Besides that, my FRS can't even fit three people. Good thing I got a receipt, someone at DPS is gonna get an ear full

Did you see the DPS guy? So arrogant, right?

My friend and I went Wo Fung @ that lot again. We parked the cars face to face and turn the camera to parking mode. Just in case. That lot is horrible. That's why so empty even in lunch or dinner time.

bigzz786786 09-15-2012 10:32 PM

i hate dps, i work at staples and dps works the lot, I got a ticket saying i lef the lot. im like wtf! i call (office is closed) i e-mailed them saying i got a unfair ticket, i worked from this time to this time and after work i saw a ticket, i have a pass, i parked in the designated parking, and yet it says i left the lot. cancel the ticket.

then i got an email saying the parking lot staff saw me walking off at this time. i emailed back with a note from my manager saying i was working during that time. THEN they cancelled my ticket and "apologized" for the inconvenience.

fucking vultures

^lol, thanks but its not uncommon for that parking lot, you wont believe how many people get tickets (while they are in staples shopping) for either "exceeded maximum time limit" or "walked of the lot" when it is all just bullshit, they come in saying they got a ticket and one of our managers just ends up writing a note to confirm they were shopping in our store from "such and such times" (obviously the manager would either recognize them, or check the cameras with time stamps).

one time a customer actually brought in one of the ticket issuers to confront him in front of the manager (but the customer actually did walk off the lot, he didn't know it was not allowed even if he did shop at staples, which he did), and like most people said, they are in no way professionally dressed, and did not look like they had any training of sorts. he was a fairly older male, seemed like late 40's with full grey hair and balding.

mmmk 09-16-2012 02:49 AM

please record and upload segment if possible! I'm working at that time

FRStan 09-16-2012 05:53 AM

You can see the DPS guy in black watching the three people walking off the lot at 0:10. Then he proceeds to write that on my ticket... :fulloffuck:
Video is sped up 2x
