Mine Oct 9 delivery for the 32gb black is already shipped with a new delivery date of Sept 27th. The white 32gb status is still at preparing for shipping.

While the Lightning cable reportedly costs Apple $3.50 to make, some third-party resellers on sites like Alibaba.com are already offering Lightning connectors at much cheaper prices. Given the apparent use of authentication chips and Apple's cost in making the cables, Peter cautioned that customers should avoid third-party Lightning connectors for the time being.
"There is basically no way those are functional cables," he told AppleInsider in an e-mail on Friday. "You can't just build a Lightning cable by making something with the same shape and connectivity, and my teardown proves that. The chip has to be there, and it is directly in the signal path of the V+ wire."

I think with the pre-order we have seen and availability in HK simultaneously, buying Apple's product for resale no longer make much sense.
All that time and effort to deal with pre-order and buyers for what? 10~15% of profit?
When I bought my iPad2 (the last time I flipped), the profit was over $300 for each iPad I could buy in the first week. That was some good business. I made enough to land me two free iPad2 and a vacation to Mexico for about 10~15hrs of work.

lol 10-15% profit is high from a financial stand point.
the monetary value may seem like shit if you didn't invest a lot to begin with.
but where else can u make 10-15% in 1-5 days? (with near 0 risk).
i just sold another 32gig at 990.

So I just want to say the customer service is top notch at apple. I brought my scratched black 32gb iphone5 back to the Coquitlam apple store. I got a genius by the name of Steven he was really friendly and helped with all my questions. I explained to the tech what happened with my iphone and he exchanged my iphone no questions asked. I checked the new phone over and saw there were scratches on the new one as well right out of the box. I said I this one has more scratches as well...He said let me talk to my manager. He came back with 3 more boxes to my surprise. I said what your manager say? Steven said that my manager wants us to resolve the issue till your satisfied. I was like wow customer service is top notch here. We opened all three boxes and I chose which one felt was the best and that was it. I'm glad this issue is resolved and hope everyone enjoys there new iphone5

They are worth over $8500 RMB per unit right now... ppl are making close to 20% just by buying them in HK for $8800 HKD in sin tat and just bringing them across the border.
ppl in hk aren't flipping them as much as expected. since Apple only have the lottery system for reservation and most ppl just bring in 1 or 2 units to sell...
I'm still thinking if i should keep mine or just sell it....

yeah I'm getting like 2 to 3 bars when I'm at home but I usually just rock wireless at home anyways...LTE I get about 2 bars but still blazing fast

So does turning off LTE give better reception? Gf just switched over to Bell and it's been 2 days and I'm not impressed at all. Either something is wrong with the iPhone 5 or I've gone back to the 90's when reception could be quite wacky.
We live in Vancouver and have been around the City, downtown, and at home (not basement). I have for the most part only seen the phone have 1 bar of reception, the odd time I saw 1+ plus bar it will tease me and drop back down to 1 right away. 6 times in 2 days it actually went to no service for a min then back to 1 again. The data has been wonky too and half the time it won't connect. LTE is on but have pretty much not seen it show up. The longest I've seen it on is maybe 5 mins top if that. Any ideas?

Turning LTE off will not necessarily give you better reception, but give you less handovers meaning more stable connection to 3G. Theres nothing wrong with the iPhone, its just how LTE works. If you turn off LTE, you are basically just turning off the High Speed data connection. Bell/Telus LTE upgrading is not complete in the LML so it is still very spotty. When you are within range of an LTE tower, the phone will give priority to that tower over any closer 3G tower, and the bars you are reading are LTE bars not 3G bars, it will only affect Data Speeds and has nothing to do with phone call reception.
LTE is Data Only (currently). 3G is Data + Voice + Emergency Services.
If you notice next time you make a voice call while the phone says LTE, it will take about 5 seconds longer for the call to go through because your phone will have to switch from the LTE network to the 3G network to make the call. There is no smooth handover for it.
Most likely the area you are in has only 1 LTE tower ~5km away from you, which is why you are only getting 1 LTE bar, but if you turn off LTE, more than likely you will connect to the 3G network and it should be a more stable data connection for you. As I was explaining before, because you are in a greyish black LTE zone for Bell/TELUS, your phone will keep switching from 3G to LTE and the handover time is at least 5 seconds, which would be the reason you are getting shitty reception.
