I'm selling my iPhone this week and going to grab mahh iPhone 5. Only thing I don't like judging from the pics is.. That it's to long and the fact that it has a diff charge port which means gotta buy new dock and cables for car AUX

Rumors so far:

-4" screen (so I guess Apple fans will now say that 4" is the perfect size, not those lame 3.5" screens!)

-1139x640 res, 16:9 aspect ratio, so the res is longer but dpi remains the same. Still 640px wide

-LTE if you care

-No NFC

-Most likely the same CPU and GPU (so dual core ARM9 + SGX GPU) but CPU should get a 32nm die shrink

-3.8v battery, higher capacity + cpu die shrink means battery life should be pretty impressive

-new dock connector, so get ready for some $20 adapters

NFC makes a lot of sense with their passbook or w.e it's called. Guess they want to stick to scanning..

With all those articles on how some insiders on Apple think this will shit on competitors like the S3 etc... From the rumored stuff it doesn't seem to be keeping up. Anyone else feel this way? I guess we gotta wait till the 12th to see what's up.

Yes that's T-Mobile but in Germany. T-Mobile Germany runs under GSM 900/1800

If you think about, the phone is only for design, and has no features itself. They just take everything they put in the iPad 3 and squeeze it into the phone.

Unlike the S3, which has the smart eye tracking feature, and only comes with the phone.

I think the main reason people upgrade their phone to the next generation is mainly because of these special features, otherwise, is just to increase the screen size, lte, etc. And 4" is not very promising.

quick noob question! for the people who got the answers feel free to reply...So when the new iphone 5 is released sept 12. when you pre order it can u use it on Canadian carriers? Since the phone will be coming from the states... Or say once the phone is released in the states line up for the phone buy it will the phone be locked on US carriers? I'm asking this because I want the phone ASAP my blackberry is giving me problems. Also sorry about the horrific grammar.

If you're willing to pay full price from the Apple store it should be unlocked. Also why would you buy it from the states when you can get it from the Apple stores here?

The iPhone usually launches a week or so after the announcement and is usually available for preorder about 3 days after announcement.

The iPhone 4S was available in Canada on the same date as US.. I believe US didn't have the factory unlocked 4S last year till a few months after launch..

You're better off buying it locally here than to buy it from the states.

They basically just stretched out their 3 year old design. Sure it's "unibody" but it looks the exact same. No NFC is apple in a nutshell for you, they already gave you a bigger screen this time why would they give you NFC as well when they can save it as a feature for the next iPhone.

a few thought i have on this NEW iPhone.
-why not 720P screen?
-how is it any different than the last 3 iPhones before it? (besides faster)
-finally a small plug.
-now you have to buy all new accessories/docks/speakers.
-we see a TMob sim, but Tmob has been wooing unlocked iPhone people from before, so they have other frequencies to use?

overall, not impressed.
