AEM V2 INTAKE BYPASS VALVE

Hey guys, I just installed my AEM V2 CAI system on my car, and I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how the AEM Bypass valve part works for the intake, for instance if my cai filter got submerged in water. Does it actually prevent it from hydro locking my engine? Any feedback would be great.

Thanks!!!

its better than nothing, worth a shot to avoid damaging the engine thats for sure... u need a 2 peice pipe in order for it to work... or maybe cut it in half if its a one peice pipe

I had a CAI for years and never had a problem without a bypass valve.
You would need to drive through a 2ft+ puddle for anything to happen.
If I saw something like that, I wouldn't even go near it.

I was gona get one for my cai but never did since the filter is in the bumper, so the puddle needs to be at least a foot deep, + I don't even take my car out if its pissing rain
