Is there a way to easily send/push some text from PC to phone? Cell phone experts, I've been wanting a solution for this for a long time. Basically I need a way to easily push some text from PC to phone, for example, a long URL address or some text (shorter than 150 characters), to my mobile phone. What is the easiest way to do this? Gmail draft/notes is one way for sure. Is there a better solution? Extra points if text can be sent directly to phone's clipboard. |
need to know what phone you have |
You could install Evernote (free) on both PC and phone (versions for Android, iOS, Blackberry, Windows Phone, and hp WebOS) . There's a "Web Clipper" extension for Chrome (maybe others) that will let you snip all or part of a web page directly to a note as well. Under 150 characters, you could always tweet it to yourself. Or email it to your SMS - almost all carriers have a way to send an email to SMS. With Telus, you just send an email to phonenumber@msg.telus.com - this will work with pretty much any phone that supports SMS, even old "dumb" phones. |
if your iOS checkout pastebot |
I always just facebook it to myself |
The desktop chrome browser has a 'chrome to phone' plugin (android) but that works better for links. You right click something in chrome and go send to phone. You can also use google drive for ios/android and open a doc at drive.google.com |
