Locating a Missing Parcel A friend of mine from HK sent me a parcel containing a letter and some hand-made stuff on August 12. She sent it with her local carrier(I'm guessing HK's equivalent of Canada Post). She showed me the name, address and postal code afterwards and I confirmed to her that it was correct, she didn't want to put a return address since she wanted it to be a surprise  Fast-forward to September 18 and I still haven't received her parcel  she tried checking in HK to see but they told her it's not in the system and it's definitely not in HK. So she told me to check, I don't exactly know where to begin :/ Is there a department or company I can contact or what should I do? It's not valuable but I would still like to have it for sentimental reasons. Thanks guys. |
Whatever you do, don't call the company that shipped it |
I heard of packages taking as long as 6 months to arrive to a location. I have a feeling you won't be able to locate it since it was shipped regular mail so you will just have to wait and hopefully it will show up in the next couple of months. |
If it was shipped regular mail, meaning its not a scannable item, then theres no way of finding out where it is. All you can do is hope it will eventually arrive. |
Maybe she shipped it with boat. That can take on average up to two months. Posted via RS Mobile |
Tbh, all you can do is wait. It's lost in the system somewhere and you bet your ass the lazy ass employees at Canada Post is NOT going to go out of their way to look for it. Not that they can, anyways. |
hkpost is more dependable than Canada post :lawl: I had package speedpost from HK to Beijing in 3days :fulloffuck: How big was the package, if she shipped it by boat... expect it to arrive by remembrance day. If by plane, it might be held up by Canada customs and then held up by your post man that delivers 3days/week. :okay: |
HK post....parcel by air 1 week, parcel by ground 7-8weeks. customs would not hold a parcel, either they let it go and call up the receipent to clear it. Just wait for it. |

no return address.....is sketchy as f*ck to be mailing anything with only the name & address across seas & no sender information.....esp. big boxes with random crap inside. it has to be in Canadian Customs getting looked at or else she/he paid the cheapest shipping option from HK...coming in by land+ boat what could take months getting over here. good luck. |
