Or better yet, just get a BMW E46. :o

Havent offered him yet, that is his asking price so I'm sure he has some leniency. He tells me the fender was replaced at ~92000km. Its sitting at 99000 atm. Could be a sign to stay away?

I would love a E46, but I am weary of the pricey maintenance costs down the road. Everyone is telling me to stick with a Japanese car since it is my first one =/:rolleyes:

The problem is that it will take more than a simple fender replacement to write off a car, even if it's an eleven year old import. Be on the look out for suspension parts being replaced or even new welds on the frame/sub-frame.

Many of our vendors can do a pre-purchase inspection. Give Rise Auto or one of the other shops a call to see if they can fit it into their schedule.

Thats what I was afraid of too. If I were to grab a Car Fax report, would I be able to tell whether or not it was really just the fender that needed to be replaced?

Found a 2001 with 80,000 km. Graphite grey no accidents. Hes asking a little more though at $8300. The car is located in Victoria so I don't think I will be able to use any of the RS sponsors? Do Lexus dealerships take appointments for me to get it inspected?

2001 what?

As stated, get BCAA to check it or take it to a dealer for PPI. Otherwise, find someone who lives in Vic to recommend a good shop.

Sorry forgot to mention lol, an 2001 IS300
