bump
didn't want to make a new thread and this seemed like the perfect place to ask
I want to buy a bottle of wine for my buddy for xmas but i don't drink any alcohol, and he and his wife like to pretend they're connoisseurs
anyway I have no idea what to pick them up, i'd like to get something that they can enjoy during xmas dinner and i'm looking to spend around $200
doesn't have to be wine so if you got any other suggestions im open
i'll probably stop by that wine store in metrotown this weekend and ask them but I thought I would try here first to at least get an idea

Oculus from Mission Ridge, I never bought a bottle myself (overpriced IMHO) but I did get to taste quite a bit of it when I was up in Okanagan.
Nice pick for a present, Mission Hill is one of the better ("prestigious") wineries in BC |

for red i like any of the mission hills or sumac ridges that are in the $25-ish range.

My favorite for red is always a strong Shiraz/Syrah and for white I like Chardonnay chilled on a hot day.

But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".

Used to moonlight in the industry, so here's a couple I would sell the customers:
Cupcake Petit Syrah
Punto Final Malbec
Both under $18 at BC Liquor. Posted via RS Mobile |
