gas mileage

i have 2006 accord v6 auto, 60/L tank. I filled 20 dollars at 129.9 and got 15 litres and was able to drive 177kms total between south surrey highway and a bit of city driving in vanccouver before the light comes on, is that good? i have no idea how much total i would get off a full tank.

:seriously:

No, that's horrible mileage. Tell your parents' to buy you a brand new Toyota Prius instead.

You cannot determine your fuel economy by filling up 20 dollars

no need to bash, I am new to this site. I purchased my vehicles with my own cash. If anyone that has same vehicle, what should the average mileage be?

Expect your fuel economy to be around 500km to 550km per tank before the light comes on.

is that with city driving or both hwy and city combined? i am not sure the best way to test the gas mileage..

Dude, Google and basic math.

21MPG-City/30MPG-Highway is the suggested fuel economy according to the American EPA.

A simple conversion to the Canadian standard of L/100km..

11.2L/100km-City/7.8L/100km-Highway

15/177x100=8.4

8.4L/100km falls well within the normal fuel economy range for a mostly highway driving with a bit of city driving.

It's best to calculate averages based on the results from multiple tanks, not a quarter of a single tank; the greater the distance of driving you base the stats on the more accurate they will be.

60L tank divide by 15L from your fill up and multiply by 177km from what you are saying = 708KM for a full tank :troll:

Great calculation on fuel economy :troll:

sure it is good..

I'm at like 18L/100km

If you are lazy you can use Fuelly to track your mileage ( Fuelly | Share and Compare Your MPG )

there's an app for tracking your fuel economy (go search it, i'm not google), every time you fill up, just enter your mileage and number of litres of fuel (you could do it on excel too, but app's easier)

over 3-4 months you will have a clear picture of your fuel economy

L/100km Fuel Efficiency Calculator / Calculate L/100 km Fuel Consumption ( litres per 100 km) Liters/100km

Welcome.

Mr.C 09-23-2012 02:45 PM

That's pretty bad. I get ~150km on 20l in the 7.

Mostly highway though.

Acura604 09-25-2012 11:18 AM

Type S TL with 6MT gets amazing econ for a 3.5L V6... rarely goes above 9L/100km city/hwy mix...drops to 8L/100km or lower on extended highway drives.
