Anyone riding this weekend or is it going to be just way too retarded? Cant decide if I'm gonna head to baker tomorrow or not.

I was gonna head to baker, but no real new snow, and its banked slalom weekend+family day here so it could be just ridiculous. And I HATE crossing the border in the morning.

U.S. border guards are such a bunch of fucking pricks. They waste over an hour of my time every time I go to the states, for no reason. I'm 27, have been to the states about 100 times, no record, no tickets, with a car full of snowboard gear at 6am after a snowstorm. What the fuck do you think I'm doing assholes.

Friday I was up there from opening until noonish. And today I was there from opening until 2ish. You thought you spotted me?

Went up to Seymour to drop my GF off for her lessons today and this is what the lines were like to buy lift tickets. To all of you who are attempting to go skiing / riding today, GLHF.

I thought the lift ticket booth is located in the opposite direction of the line up?? Or is it just that busy?

You can buy from guest services or you can get them from the rental building.

Anyone know what happened with that white car in the ditch right off the off ramp to cypress yesterday?

Whistler was actually less crowded than expected. Pretty nice conditions up top, sunny! My legs are killing me after a whole day though.

I arrived at Grouse at 8:30 sharp (opening time).
The line up to buy the tickets and get on the lift took about 10~ mins.

Wasn't that packed in the morning. Stayed on "The Cut" throughout most of the day and as it got busier in the afternoon,
it was probably still 5 mins wait at most to get on the chair lift.

The other chair lifts as you went higher up the mountain were relatively empty.

Definitely expected it to be more packed due to the 50% off Family Day deal.
Maybe the light rain deterred everyone?? It was pretty foggy for most of the day.
At one point, it was so bad, I would be on the chair lift and could barely see further than the chair lift in front.

Maybe everyone was thinking "It'll be packed" so not as many people showed up lol. except for seymour.

My sister was up at Seymour in the evening and she said it was dead. Kind of wished I went to whistler now.

I'm planning to get a new board/bindings this week.
Pretty set on the K2 Happy Hour because it's only $350 at Sport Chek and I have a 20% coupon making it $100 cheaper than online stores. It's reviewed to be a very fun board that's good for all mountain and in the park. I haven't been in the park much but I plan to start when I get this board probably gonna be 80% around the mountain hitting jumps and 20% in the park.
Which bindings would be most compatible with the board and my riding style?
I've come down to 3 sets around $175-200: Burton Cartel, Ride Capo, and 390 Boss.

I have both the cartels and 390 boss as well as non boss version. The cartels see, to be a bit more comfortable. Still love the rome bindings though and I might be selling them if you're interested.

I had issues with my cartels but that was back in the day. They always rotated when I landed funny and I broke like 5 baseplates in 2 seasons. I've never had any issues with my 390s and I actually found them more comfortable also, but thats more dependant on how they fit your boot.

The cartels are also a lot lighter then the 390s if that matters to you.

Nobody's tried the Ride Capo's? I'm interested in those the most. Their micro disc is supposed to reduce the dead spots at the binding/board's contact points.
I think it's supposed to be a bit stiffer of the three.
TheSalesman are your 390 boss the ones with the chipping paint? If not I'm interested haha
