God I feel old. I go through the first page of the thread and I was like "these are your first CD?!?!" :suspicious:

My first CD was Michael Jackson's Dangerous.

Columbia house was wicked back in the day and I received so many free cd's from them. I only listen to rap and I picked out BIG L and Mobb deep up before I even knew who they were. Talk about a enjoyment of listen to Shook ones for the first time from stolen cds

Mine was Ixnay on the Hombre. I was a huge Offspring fan back in the day and played my Smash tape to death (still one of my top 10 albums) and the tour they did for the Ixnay album was the first concert I went to. I liked Americana too, but Ixnay ranks higher on my list.



This was huge. EVERYBODY had this at my old school.

dude, I was poor as hell back in the day! I was lucky to get hand me down cassettes! It was all recording music from the radio or going over to my friends house to record mixtapes like Onyx, Bad Boys soundtrack, Ace of Bass, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., TLC... my god... I could go on forever.

Damn this takes me back, time to make a new cruising mix tape.

I was really late to the party. Listened to cassettes until 1996 when I bought this
