Samsung Metrotown Do they do any Samsung cellphone repairs or honor Samsung warranties there? I tried giving them a call but nobody picks up. My intuition says no. |
i've been meaning to ask the same question too. Do they demo any of their accessories? I want to buy a car dock but want to see if it can fit with my case. |
they suck for customer service, many stories from many different ppl. Before buying the s3 from the samsung store, one of my friends asked them if there is an arabic language pack and asked for help in downloading it, the salesguy said yes, he bought the phone, and the salesguy was ready to send him off... my friend reminded sales guy about arabic language pack downloading help and the salesguy basically said... just search it up on google... and went on to help someone else. Friend went into the store a day later to get help because he could not do it himself, they basically said that its not their responsibility. friend just returned the phone all together. another friend switched to the s3 from iphone.. just needed help, or wanted to know if it was possible to migrate contacts from iphone to s3, the guy in the store just said go to the apple store, they should be able to help you.. :fulloffuck: lol IMO not good customer service. and the guys that work there are under-educated. |
^ customer service at the Samsung store is a joke. The most polite thing that they do best is just smiles and hi. Things go down hill once you start asking questions. Asked if they know when the new colors are coming out for S3 and that sales person looked at me like I'm asking a stupid question and said it'll come out when it comes out. |
I've been drinking the Apple hatorade as of late, but that's one thing you can't take away from them. Their kick ass customer service/support. Posted via RS Mobile |
Yeah, I've read somewhere online that the Samsung store at Metrotown is in fact NOT OWN by Samsung Canada nor by its parent company, Samsung Korea. In fact, it's own by the same owners of Wireless Waves who've only purchased the rights to the name, which is disappointing to hear cause they only care about pushing sales, and not post-sale services. Nonetheless, as much as I dislike Apple, their customer service is unmatched in the mobile phone industry. Which is the only thing I miss about being an iPhone owner. |
Its owned by Glentel which owns tbooth wireless wave etc |
wow that's sad...sounds like most of us here in mobile chat are more tech-savvy than these employees |

^ That's just sad. Don't see why Samsung would do that. I hope that Glentel wouldn't tarnish their name here in Vancouver. |
what about the Samsung reps in ME? I'm assuming that's purely sales? |
meh customer service at samsung store is meh, but for me apple store ain't much better. i have a DOA iphone 5 purchased from the apple online store. the phone will heat up after long usage and freezes.. took it to the apple store and told me they'll exchange me for a replacement unit that they told me it's a customer's returned that's been recycled :suspicious: told me if you want a brand new one, go refund your phone and wait 3-4 weeks to buy it again... really? :ahwow: wtf am i going to use for 4 weeks?? Samsung store honestly is not much better, customer service? they were never properly trained to begin with so there won't be any.. it's really just a store that's displaying the samsung product but you have to do research on your own to find out what each does lol. |
Friend of mine went in with a s2 cause its not working properly the guy try to teach her how to root her phone and add a custom rom to make everything "work" |
