Soldering Cellphone Component

What are the risks of replacing a soldered component on a cellphone motherboard?

I called this cell phone repair shop to get my charging port repaired, and they told me that the component that needs to be fix requires to be soldered and that they are not responsible if it damages other components on my phone.

How risky is this? My warranty just expired with Samsung, so I can't send it in for repairs. :(

if you took it to JP, i have 100% faith in his work, as all repairs have never needed to be re-repaired.

doesn't sound like you're dealing with JP, cause he usually just quotes and fixes, not, "i might fuck up your phone."

Soldering = heat = heat kills electrical components.

Just a risk that you run, given the sensitive nature of various transistors, microprocessors, etc.

Most places will tell you straight up that they don't want to do it given the risks, etc.
