Places that Reupholster Seats Hey guys, as the title says, I'm looking for reputable places that reupholster car seats. I did a quick search on this topic but the threads were old The leather on my front driver/passenger and backseats are cracking/fading due to wear and tear as well as the exposure to the sun I don't have the skill or proper tools to tackle this as a DIY job, and I'm not looking to purchase those custom leather seat covers If you guys can offer me suggestions that would be very helpful :fullofwin: |
Trimup Auto. Ask for Lee or Ronnie. They do great work on rewrapping upholstery. Also will recommend using Lexol leather conditioner to keep the material soft and breathable to prevent future breaking/cracking. Posted via RS Mobile |
new creations might be able to tackle your seat. They perform repairs like split seams, tears, sanding, filling, and dying seats. If you want to go with actually re upholstery, then there is pro-leather in burnaby. |
Almost forgot, check out Ambassador Upholstery, boss's name is Ian, he can patch and repair almost all cracks and tears. He does great work from worn out rare furniture to automotive seats. He takes great detail into patching areas to full restoration. Used him before and he's a great guy, teaches you about his workmanship. Posted via RS Mobile |
- new creations - trim up - fibrenew have used all 3 companies before. all did good work |
Just roughly, what does a full re-skin in leather run $500 per seat? $750? |
+1 for trim up |
Panther autoglass & upholstery in Abbotsford is really good too. |
+2 for trim up. If you wanna see some of their handiwork close up I have lots of examples in our shop. |
Thanks for the help guys! I'll be hitting up a few of these places within the next couple days |
Try contacting Pacific Auto Trim |
anyone know how much it cost to get 1 seat reupholstered with leather |
which place is cheapest which place is most "premium"? Rank them please? Thanks. |
Best thing to do is visit them and listen to how they work on your project, price, quality, workmanship, which one YOU trust and have faith in and not just the cheapest. Reason is cheapest doesnt mean anything if you dont believe in their workmanship. For me in the past 10 years on my car, I would visit and speak directly to them so that I can learn as my project starts. Also with upholstery, there are a lot of fabric types even leather. Trimup Auto has boards and boards of samples for you to see and feel. Then ask them would complete rewrapped, patch, center, border, double/single stitch, replace foam if needed etc etc and then make your own choice/decision. Best of luck Posted via RS Mobile |
