Clarification needed for violation ticket
 

hey guys, i just needed help on clarifying a ticket

The violation was excessive speeding: Section 148(1) MVA

The car was also subject to impoundment for 7 days reasons being:
a. "Committing an offence under section 148 of the MVA"
b. "Driving or operating a motor vehicle in a race or in a stunt as defined in the MVA and the officer intends to charge with an offence"

Confusion of "Driving or operating a motor vehicle in a race..." being marked for the impoundment form, but on the violation ticket isn't there suppose to be a second count regarding racing (ie. "race" section 250 MVA)?

Is it correct to say that the offense being charged is excessive speeding and the officer that issued this ticket may in the future charge the offense of racing

I'm not entirely sure, and am commenting while knowing someone more knowledgeable will also reply, but I'm pretty sure the MVA says "racing or stunting" is grounds for impoundment, and that's why the officer checked it; to impound your car.

He may choose to escalate it, depending on circumstances and driving history

The ticket is for excessive speeding.

Oh, is the attachment not working?

1)Charge of the offense of excessive speeding
2)also impounded for reasons being:

The question is the charge only for excessive speeding?
Will the officer be charging an offense for racing in the future?
