Android 2.3 & Deleted Texts So my phone froze up a few minutes ago, as seems to be the norm lately, and wouldn't come back. I pulled the battery and turned it back on, only to find out that every single one of my text messages have now been deleted... even the ones that were locked down. I'm unfamiliar with Android its backups, but is there any way to restore all those lost messages? Most I don't care about (I had something over 12k in all), but there were a few locked messages that I needed for both work and personal reasons. It's a Samsung Captivate running a stock rom, in case it matters. |
Wish I could be of more help, but I too have noticed that lately my SGS has been freezing up and so has my co-worker with the same phone. Both of us have Bell SGS's running on 2.3.3. Luckily for me though, I haven't lost any of my messages, but a couple of times it took over 15 minutes for the phone to turn on. You turn it on, and it shows the cycling S. |
Same thing happened to me last month on my i9000. I did a search and found out others have reported the same thing (those with >10k sms stored on their SGS). |
