Gienow or Euroline windows Building a new house, trying to figure out whats a good reliable brand to go with. We are just going to go with white vinyl, but doesn't want to just use any low end windows. Prefer a quality product thats durable and achieve good energy performance Our contractor uses Gienow for all of his jobs. How good are they? I have heard Euroline is one of the best ones in town, how do gienow window compares to them in terms or quality and cost? Thanks in advance for your comments. |
Euroline does make a high quality vinyl window, they have a bolder frame which looks like a wood frame. However they are more expensive. On a average home with standard windows Gienow would cost in and around $10-15000, Euroline would be in the $20-25000 range. It comes down to budget, looks, color and features Ask yourself this Are you building to stay in long term? Do you like the look of one more then the other? I highly doubt you will notice $10000 in quality/energy difference between them.I believe the above questions would be more important factors in deciding between the two Posted via RS Mobile |
Have you checked out Starline? Posted via RS Mobile |
Thanks for the quick responses. We are planning to stay for long term, that’s why would prefer a better quality window and not the builders spec home grade windows. Sounds like Euroline is overall a better window, but might not warrant the extra cost. I have not check out Euroline or Starline in person, will probably do so to compare the style. Mj39 is right on the money, Gienow window quote came in between $10-15k. Just wondering can we do better quality with the same cost, or is Gienow the best in this price range. |
To stay in that price range Gienow and Starline would be my choices for a vinyl window. Both should be very competitive price wise as well |
are these the typical sliding ones or the hand cranking ones? |
what about Centra? are they the same calibre? I used them to replace first floor of my house and they seem ok to me, but im no window scientist. |
