Good, reasonably priced labour?

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this but yeah.

I'm looking to get. My oil change and I'm just looking for somewhere with a reasonably priced labour and reliable. I will be providing my own oil and filter.

Any help would be nice. Thanks.

I have a $20 groupon deal for Appolo muffler centers but I've heard bad thing about them.

Graeme S 10-23-2012 10:32 PM

An oil change is an oil change is an oil change.

A) why are you providing filter and oil
B) just call around to joe-blow shops and ask how much their oil changes are. There's plenty that do $20-30 oil changes.

TypeRNammer 10-23-2012 10:35 PM

Labour charge is usually 20 to 30 bucks from shops in general

BrRsn 10-23-2012 10:35 PM

my uncle has a farm in penticton and when he needs good reasonably priced labour he usually just uses migrant workers. Might want to visit your local migrant worker dealer

i only read the thread title

AVS_Racing 10-23-2012 11:21 PM

so paying more than $20 for an oil change is unreasonable?

dared3vil0 10-23-2012 11:23 PM

It's an oil change. It takes 10 minutes (or less) Do it yourself...

donjalapeno 10-23-2012 11:31 PM

I can supply migrant workers. Great for anyone who wants to pay a wage lower than any Canadian would accept. PM me if interested, I'm overstocked on El Salvadorians and can offer special pricing as a result.

I only read the title and Dhillion's post

Spoiler!

maybe OP is female.

Go get em whiteknights!

JSALES 10-24-2012 12:28 AM

go get your oil change at any reasonable shop

skylinergtr 10-24-2012 01:03 AM

shops do not like it when customers bring their own parts, unless its something they cannot source themselves.

usually they end up even charging you more on the labor side, and overall you end up paying more.

other than mr. lube, or oil change specific places, more shops hardly make any money on oil changes.

annamaaae 10-24-2012 06:05 AM

I would do it myself but my parents don't trust me enough to do that shit. Because I'm a girl and I apparently don't know what I'm doing and I'm going to end up fucking up the car.

Anyon have a jack/ramp and a garage I can borrow?

Where r u located? Oil change is simple as hell so any shop will do... As said above if u provide ur own oil n filter the shop will usually charge u a bit more for labour... It's just business... U lookin at 30/40 bucks the most...

integra gs? super easy car for oil change "oil filter not in some stupid spot"

i have 2 jacks, you dont need a garage for something like this, takes more time jacking up the car than anything.

in the future tho, just got to mr lube, its like 40$ for a standard oil change

spyker 10-24-2012 10:02 AM

^ I would much rather do it myself than trust those idiots at mr.lube to change my oil,at least I know I did the job properly.

GLOW 10-24-2012 10:12 AM

avoid mr lube like the plague

Phil@rise 10-24-2012 10:13 AM

annamaaae 10-24-2012 11:06 PM

Not lowered. 2006 Civic LX.

LuHua 10-24-2012 11:44 PM

Yep...ridiculously easy. Oil filter's right beside the drain bolt, and damn easy to reach. For the record though, my dealership charges $26 plus taxes for labour given that parts are supplied. Call into yours and check?

Graeme S 10-24-2012 11:48 PM

Just find a place that does $20 oil changes. I think the place at Clark and Venables does it. It's a civic. It doesn't need fancy oil or filter.

kouki_monster 10-26-2012 09:29 PM

Takeshi at Taiyo Auto, 15 bucks iirc. Honest and good mech.
