Benz_05TSX 10-26-2012 12:24 PM

If that's the 2 series and its cheaper... no one will get the 3 series anymore

twitchyzero 10-26-2012 02:20 PM

wtf there's a 1-series sedan now?

Harvey Specter 10-26-2012 02:25 PM

Can't forget the 4 series and 4 series coupe, and no 3 series coupe because the 4 series coupe is supposedly replacing it. Seriously BMW is starting to make no sense at all with all these new models and another piss off is all the interiors are basically the same all the way up to the 7 series, so much for exclusivity.

donjalapeno 10-26-2012 02:48 PM

lol 2 series looks like turd

Timpo 10-28-2012 11:37 AM

This is just boring.

Those BMWs look the same. Back in the day, when we had just 3, 5 and 7 series...we could tell the difference.

But 1 series and 3 series were close enough that people couldn't tell the difference...now 2 series. They need to give each car more distinctive design or feature.

Marco911 10-28-2012 06:44 PM

People need to stop referring to 4 door cars as coupes.

Mazda thinks it's a good idea though

westopher 10-28-2012 10:19 PM

Pretty ugly IMO, but I have said that about almost every bmw in the last 6 years, only to have them grow on me after seeing them in the real world. I still miss how distinctive older bmws look.

TopsyCrett 10-28-2012 10:39 PM

I don't know guys, BMW's have always kinda looked alike lol. Take a look at the 80-87 BMW 3, 6, 5 and 7 series...

broken_arrow 10-28-2012 11:24 PM

Looks nice, but I hope they are not going to follow MB and produce a million different models... Smart, A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, E-Class, CLS-Class, S-Class, CL-Class, GL-Class, ML-CLass, G-Class (the best), GLK-Class, SLK-Class, SL-Class, SLS-Class, and I'm sure I'm missing a few more, lol...

JoshuaWong 10-28-2012 11:48 PM

The new designs are cleaner and prettier in an understated way, I miss the bangle era tho (E90,E60) where every series have a distinct look. I know some of the design was not so great but the 5 series especially the E60 M5 still look great. Wide stance, flashy styling.

I think the F10 M5 is almost like an improvement over the E39 M5 styling wise and engineering wise, pick up where the E39 left off and moved it on, whereas the E60 was a totally different rendition of M5 (gone with the understate classiness, in with flashy style, F1 style V10, F1 SMG gearbox)

I personally love the F1 era M cars and the Bangle era styling that goes with them, might not be what traditional M enthusiast like but its something that stands out if not for the better... I am gonna keep the M3 for a long time and hope to add an E60 M5 someday :ahwow:

Yup, I only have 8 months remaining on my A5 lease so that's why I'm looking at the 4 series.

this is fucking pointless...just pick one between 1 or 3 series.

1 series was close enough looking to 3 series anyways...people who dont know much about cars think 1 series is 3 series.

I agree, BMW has gone nuts with all these new series and the worst part is the interiors look the same using the same bits and pieces, there's no more exclusivity between the different models.

I don't really like the current 3 series, it's gotten a bit big and chunky. It almost looks like the size of the E39 5's. I guess cars all grow over time, but the 1 is the 'new' 3 IMO. Don't think of 3 and 4 series as different models, they are really 2 and 4 door versions of the 'old' 3 series. It's not that bad, just a number

ok so you're saying 3 and 4 series aren't that different..what about 2 series?

lol BMW should differentiate the 2,3 and 4 series...they're all pretty much the same shit.
