Junji Ito stuff is a different kind of horror I guess. Generally just weird shit/semi grotesque stuff or stories that make you think "wait wtf just happened". Amigara Fault wasn't really too amazing. I think Uzumaki is by far his most popular series. Usually that's where people get started on reading his stuff. I would say that the longer series that he writes has more effect to them, just cause there's more time for character/plot/atmosphere buildup. |
