Cop Cars for photoshoot? How??? Does anyone have any success borrowing a cop car for a quick photoshoot? or where does one borrow any normal Ford Crown Victoria ?? This is what the Ford Crown Victoria looks like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ria-police.jpg |
I'm a member of the crownvic forum, all the cars are stripped of their stickers and lights. If ur still interested, I can see if someone is happy with u borrowing their car |
Maybe you can present your idea to a RCMP officer or at a RCMP office station thingy. State that you are a photographer and would love to shoot a RCMP vehicle with their permission. Give them a printed copy of the photo to spice the deal up. Maybe you can even post the photos on your personal website or a photo sharing website such as Flickr, write an article about it, tweet it and like it on facebook. It's worth a shot I guess. It doesn't hurt to ask them. There were a few police officers showing off their Crown Victoria's at a car show at a local Ford dealership and they all seemed pretty laid back. People were snapping photos of the car so I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you asked nicely and presented yourself in the right manner. |
there's a lot off where the old on-ramp at grandview hwy/hwy 1 with lots of movie prop cars...i see a few old 'NYPD' cruisers and Crown Vic cabs there...maybe you can ask them. http://www.profilecanada.com/company...Inc_Burnaby_BC |
i can come do a burnout if you'd like |
I shot a video a few years back with a real RCMP car. Your best bet is to go to a local station and talk with the person up front and ask for someone who can help you with this. I went through one of the actual PR reps and managed to snag a car, no problem. There will be a few things you wont be allowed to do (ie: take photos of the officer arresting someone, asking the officer to do a burn out, etc... basically anything that can be taken in a negative context), but for the most part, whatever you want to ask of them is usually cool. |
Plenty of cop cars to photoshoot at Tim Horton's :troll: Posted via RS Mobile |
I managed to find someone selling an ex-police car with lights on craigslist that was willing to let me shoot his car for a few hours, if this doesn't work i'll try the other options you guys mentioned! |
