Slow Internet I am running out of solutions, so I thought I'd give this a go. CONNECTION: Shaw 50Mbps/3Mbps AP: Linksys E4200 DDWRT (N-ONLY) AP: (OFF): Shaw WiFi Modem (G/N Mixed) DEVICE: Desktop PC (Patriot WI-FI USB Wireless LAN Adapter IEEE 802.11 B/G/N 300Mbps Compatible With Patriot PBO Alpine) DEVICE: Samsung Galaxy S2 T989D Both AP's are at the same location. Shaw WiFi modem is off, but I use it to benchmark. On my Galaxy S2, I am getting 35Mbps/3Mbps off of the E4200 at the same location of my desktop that I am getting 5Mbps/3Mbps. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the WiFi USB drivers on my PC, but that's not working. I know it's not my router issue, nor is it a connection issue. Seeing that my Galaxy S2 is getting great speeds. Any help would be appreciate it. |
win7? I've had driver issues for a built in wifi card that caused really slow speeds and would randomly stop file downloads etc. I ended up fixing it by uninstalling the OEM driver and letting windows use its own default driver. what connection strength is windows reporting? |
Not sure if you forgot to the include this info, but did you test the speed with your desktop on the Shaw WiFi AP instead? |
