1997 Acura Integra GS Coupe

Posting this for a good friend. This was originally my neighbor's car as posted in the info below.

1997 Acura Hatchback GS, Automatic, 246,000 km - $4500 (Coquitlam)

For sale is my daily driven 1997 Acura Integra hatchback blue metallic in colour. Car was purchased in fall of 2009 with 208,000 km from a friend's neighbor who had purchased it new from Acura and had taken the car back to the dealership for every service and oil change since he owned it new. He drove into town and back every day from South Surrey -- so mainly highway mileage.

He had overheated the head (thermostat stuck) -- so I put a brand new head on the car (fully decked and machined, 5 angle valve job, mild port, new valve seals, stock cams) with new gaskets, pumps, thermostats, timing belt, rad hoses, battery etc. Stripped car at that time, and rebuilt most of the suspension from ground up epoxy coating new calipers and brackets and uprights. Engine came out pan and bottom end came apart and was inspected and was flawless with minor blemishes, but zero damage to bearings or main girdle and pistons/rings and cylinder walls -- so new head bolts installed and motor re-installed. Car has bone stock interior, stock stereo with an alarm system. Seats have standard wear and door panels have heat ripple, but I bought it that way. Otherwise, interior is very clean and not abused. No leaks or weeping. Rear bumper cover has scrapes and there is standard parking lot dings and marks -- but no major dents or rust. You do not see the dents unless you are looking for them or close up. I likely put well over $5K into aftermarket components alone into this car -- so you won't likely find another one as clean or with this much aftermarket and new components installed at this price period.

Suspension and Brakes

• SSC Lowering springs
• Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustable shocks
• Skunk 2 front adjustable upper control arms
• Skunk 2 rear adjustable upper control arms
• Blox aluminum rear lower arms
• Blox adjustable toe arms

• Russell Stainless brake lines
• Hawk HP+ front and rear pads
• Axxis Old School 15 x 8 +25 rims (excellent shape, zero curbage)
• Yokohama S Drive 195/50/15 tires (good tread left)
• Stock 14" aluminum alloys with 185/60/14 Blizzak WS60 snow tires (85% tread left -- top end tires)

Exhaust System

• Magnaflow stainless cat-back exhaust system
• Megan stainless header
• Magnaflow high flow cat

NGK Iridium plugs, NGK spark plug wires, Greddy oil filler cap, all synthetic fluids (Redline ATF), Motul 8100 oil changes every 3000-5000 km with Moly E and Motul engine flushes, Motul Dot 5.1. PIAA wipers, PIAA bulbs

This was my shop car and is an extremely reliable vehicle that get's a ton of looks and drives very well. Kind of cool purple, dark blue colour that changes with light. Easy 400km/tank in town, and over 550 km on the highway. AC blows super cold, all windows and sunroof work, rear defroster. ABS flawless. Car will out handle most other cars out there and stops on a dime. As you can see from the list of items installed, there was not really any cheap stuff installed on this car period. Been a great little car for me, but still have too many other vehicles in my stable and would like to pass this onto a new driver looking for something cooler than a boring Corolla or Civic or someone looking for a comfortable daily commuter that handles well, goes through snow and winter awesome, but is easy on gas in stop and go traffic.
