Bestbuy out of car audio? I'm hearing Best buy is getting out of car audio and is clearing out all stock cheap. |
the installation bays and departments were closed months ago. All factory fresh inventory has already been recalled to district warehouse. Only items left will be some open box items. You missed the big clear out a month ago. |
Car audio and installation employees were laid off in June. Most of the inventory has been moved to district warehouses, or merged into Futureshops. The only thing remaining from that department in the future would be satellite radios and GPS. Some Best Buys still have stock on various other things, and you can probably haggle a manager out of buying a demo deck. |
my friend worked for bestbuy doing installs and he got laid off and hired at future shop as they are the same company, so all car audio will be done at futureshop |
Car audio is going back to where it should be, to the independent retailers that have a passion for it, not the box stores that just want to make a buck. It also helps that us independents have qualified salesmen and installers to do the job right. |
Well, nowadays pretty much all new cars comes with CD player and security systems etc. (which is big box store's specialties next to remote-start) But only a few Good Custom shops could do much more like Installing a system that could produce a realistic soundstage across the dash with life like presentation & dynamic punch. and that's not something you'll ever get from a big box store anyways. |
Thank god, why would you want to buy overpriced garbage anyways. |
It was just a matter of time. We'll see where Best Buy is in the next 5 years. |
