Do I need to do this ?? Hi there I am using Chrome on my SSD drive with Windows 7 on it. In order to increase the life span of my SSD, should I redirect the cache area of Chrome from my SSD drive to a SATA3 7200crpm drive ? Please kindly advise ASAP. |
no Most SSDs are rated for around 20 GB of writes per day for 5 years. |
by the time it dies from writing, itll cost 10% for a new one of what you paid now. |
what happen when SSD write died? is all the data still readable? OS will stop working I assume? |
Same thing as a regular hdd. The ssd will mark that area as bad and no longer use it. |
