Replacing iPhone 4 camera lens

Need to replace my scratched up camera lens. Google said there are replacements on ebay and that it's easy enough to diy. Anyone do it before?

so.. google told you how to replace a camera lens on an apple device :troll:

just a though, if you have never done these sorts of things, i would suggest you take it to a shop and pay a bit more and be hassle free... if you make things worse, it may end up costing you even more

It is one of the easier fixes on an iPhone. Remove back cover, disassemble camera, replace, etc...

Best thing to do is YouTube the disassembly, make sure you have the tools available before you start and go from there...

or you can upgrade to the iphone 5. if you see a flare in your picture when there is an out of sight light source in the background, "you're just holding it wrong"

I suggest searching the tutorial on youtube too, you can find a lot of shit on youtube these days.

Thing is I don't have a screwdriver for the new 5-point screw they use and I've tried the screwdrivers that I have and they don't work. Would any old place at Crystal mall be able to do it for me?

Yea, these are rather common tools imo. Just hit up JP Cellular in Richmond.
