I'm cool with fast zombies like 28 days later. But the whole climbing over each other going up the wall was really odd to me at the time of the first trailer.

goddamn it
Danny Boyle needs make 28 Months Later
would be awesome if it was set up Ukraine or Russia

i still have no idea wtf is going on. i don' tknow what's it's trying to do. brad pitt is the ONLY guy and it's just zombies... i hope they do a better job selling the story.

anyhoo, i'll watch it but don't expect much. nice ot see brad being in movies again (killing them softly sucked).

Damn, this movie really exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a run of the mill generic movie like I am Legend. Highly entertaining, and definitely recommend this one.

Marshall Placid 06-21-2013 11:07 PM

The book was very, very well written and entertaining.

Looks like the movie will be good as well.

However, it looks like the movie is heavily changed from the true plot in the book.

The main thing is... that the zombies move really quickly in the movie, but the book zombies are "regular" speed in that they can run rather slowly but not like in the movie.

El Bastardo 06-22-2013 08:49 AM

The book would have had to have been made into a documentary to follow it properly, like the beginning of District 9. I guess that sort of stuff is too niche for mainstream audiences.

Heres hoping it comes to the drive in... That would make it just that much better to take the wifey too... lol

thoroughly enjoyed it; left satisfied
wasn't anything too special, but still a good watch

Did anyone else think of the raptor scene from Jurassic park 3 when they were in the Cdc building.
Especially when the zombies were sniffing around and the sounds they made when Brad Pitt was stuck in the lab.
Also, I wonder how they even found the building after the crash and how they left with no plane.

The Pilot gave him the location and they crashed right near the town. I'm guessing he probably called his friend to extract him.

Read the alternative ending (last 40 mins of the movie) and oh boy...I am glad they re-wrote the last 40.

kwy 06-26-2013 12:13 PM

Goes in a completely different direction than the book. Honestly cheapened the entire plot line and made it more hollywood. Im not very surprised, but its completely different from the source material. The movie is still pretty smart, but it loses some of the social commentary from the book. The book has way more depth. Had they adapted the movie more closely to the book, it would've played out more like a dramatic documentary, which still would've been great to watch, but would've appealed to general audiences less, so i guess i understand the changes. But its still a shame they turned something so special and unique into a pretty standard zombie movie.

MarkyMark 06-27-2013 06:42 AM

I was wondering why Matthew Fox had a ridiculously small role in this movie lol, the original ending sounded stupid.

Awesome book. Awesome movie. They are nothing alike other than a vague reference to a couple of the stories in the book. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Berz out.
