Was going to get my folks electronic things, but recently they've turned into awkward techies and have been buying all the tablets, laptops and what not  even an Apple TV lol.

Guess I'll get them one of those Keurig or Tassimo machines.

mb_ 11-30-2012 05:27 PM

That's what I was thinking. They both drink coffee a lot, hope they'll make use of it LOL.

was going to get my family and extended family shoes (work at Aldo) but then all my chinese coworkers told me that its really bad luck to give shoes to family and friends because it means they will "run away from you"

great. now what.

Finished my Christmas shopping this past weekend. Glad to be done early by this time every year. Don't want to deal with all the dumb asses clogging up the malls. This is my breakdown of presents

GF - Panasonic Lumix camera (waterproof, shockproof, shockproof)
Dad - Coffee stuff from Timmy's
Mom - Gift basket from the bodyshop
Brother and his gf - Giftcard to walmart since he has a newborn, chocolate
Nephew - Soccer ball
Nieces - Toys
Sister in laws - Rihanna tickets (paying for 1/2 the tickets that GF originally bought)
Brother in laws - Giftcards, Video games, various small electronics
Friends - blu ray movies, video games, giftcards, small coffee grinder

Found some good deals online for cyber Monday sales. Saved almost $200 on the camera I bought online for the gf so put that money towards the other gifts. I have some more spending money for our Hawaii trip in Jan and also won a 3 night stay at a nice condo in Whistler at my company Christmas party this past weekend, woot woot!

If you/your family doesn't believe in that bs then continue as planned? It's a stupid old sentiment/tradition/belief to believe in.

You can buy me some shoes from Aldo, though; I'll even be your best friend after that. :fullofwin:

As for my parents' gifts, ended up helping my parents replace the family car since the other one got totaled. :okay:

Haven't started my Christmas shopping yet. Going to be a mad scramble after I finish my finals on the 16th

Thankfully I only have my parents to gift, no gf no problems :fullofwin:

Actually I wish I had a gf, this is my first Christmas in two years without a girl :okay: Guess I'll save me some money.

Its funny cause no one in my family believes in that stuff..but now all I can think of is that they'll all run away from me even though I know its just some weird belief/myth thing. -.- if they didn't tell me this I wouldn't be thinking about it.

Sorry mate :/ minimum wage isn't cuttin it

On another note of christmas presents, I was thinking about making a few large photographs to be mounted on walls, but printed in some unique way -> Processes How-To « AlternativePhotography.com

you got your mom and your gf the same scent? That's gotta fuck with your senses when you're boning.

Yup, Chinese people are very superstitious. My parents are the same. Told me once not to buy a clock or watch for someone because it was symbolic of the time they had left to live or something. These stupid traditions and shit can go fuck themselves
