Damaging wheels when dismounting tires?

I know there is a risk of damaging your wheels when mounting tires but is there the same risk when dismounting tires from the rims?

Looking to have some tires dismounted from rims but not sure if I need to find a place with a touchless machine or just take it to any nearby tire shop.

Yes, you can damage the tires when mounting and when removing them from the rim

Ya it's sooo easy to damage rims when mounting/dismounting. Don't cheap out! Go to a place with a nice touchless tire machine.

you are more likely to damage a wheel or tire dismounting it than mounting it... do be careful of who you get to work on your expensive wheels or tires...

Yes cheap places will use the manual arm lever

Most likely if you go to a someone who isn't used to mounting expensive wheels or stretching tires
