[Confidential] Yeast Infections.

The following is an anonymous post. If the original poster would like to reply to any comments, please PM me

So my significant other likes to use this against me and googling this issue doesn't really help me out at all or information provided is very minimal in my case.

She occassionally gets a yeast infection (once in a blue moon) and she uses this as an excuse to say that i'm out fucking other girls and that i'm dirty.
admittedly a few years back when we were not together I was fucking another girl (and now SO) and during that same time period she says she got a yeast infection from me fucking both her and this other girl. (they ended up being friends wtf right?).
Is this a reason for it to happen? Have any of you guys or girls been in a situation like this?
SO recently just got a yeast infection but im hella anal about being clean and I have not fucked any girls at all since above, havent even pooned a single bit. fuck i dont know what else to say. Maybe im just looking for something i can give to her and say "look what your saying has a very small chance of happening, you need to be more aware of your body" I really don;t know at this point, but i do know i am getting sick of hearing it.
Just to be clear, we have kids together and I really dont want to leave and break up the family.
and probably she has self esteem issues but who doesnt. In any case any help is much appreciated.

This might not be the best thing to hear but whos to say that shes not getting a piece from someone else, getting the infection from them, and then overcompensating for her infidelity and guilt by lashing out?

vafanculo 11-26-2012 04:36 PM

Do you have signs of any infection yourself (I think I heard guys get it too). Also, can't women get yeast infections if they don't keep a clean vag? Maybe she did this to herself?

It might be just stress related causing a hormone imbalance. Heard it was also caused by ph imbalance caused by stress.

Yeast infections are caused by a number of reasons:

-stress
-lack of sleep
-poor eating habits
-hormonal changes
-periods
-taking certain medications (antibiotics, birth control pill, etc.)
-tampons, pads
-over-cleaning or certain soaps, etc

A yeast infection is not a STD/STI but it is possible for a male to catch a yeast infection from a female and, in turn, pass it back and forth if it is not treated. This, of course, if a VERY slim possibility and there would be some pattern (ex: every 2 weeks she gets a yeast infection, etc.). There is also a higher probability if the male is not circumcised. But this usually only occurs in couples that have regular sex....it is almost unheard of a dude passing yeast infections around after cheating. It just doesn't happen like that. The female more likely got the YI from the condom irritating her or she had started to get one without noticing it first, and the pH balance in her vagina was thrown more askew.

With all that being said, yeast infections occur in 75% of the female population regardless of age, sexual activity, and cleanliness. A yeast infection happens from 'with in' the body so even if you gf cleans and cleans and cleans her bits, it would not make a difference and even make the problem worse.

Over cleaning and douching can remove all the 'good' bacteria that fights these infections thus making her more susceptible to yeast infections. This really isn't "her" problem or "your problem", it is just a problem. Being more aware of her body won't make her yeast infection clean for the rest of her life.

Also, if this become a regular issue, she should talk to her doctor about it...yeast infections have VERY similar symptoms as bacterial vaginosis. These are treated differently and can lead to complications in the future.

how do people get so deeply involved with such dumb S/O's?

:/

Gridlock 11-26-2012 08:21 PM

I personally love it when the go to in any situation is "you fuckin' around?"

Hey! I have a yeast infection...lets smell yo dick.

Hey I have a flat tire, you out fuckin'?

We seem to be out of cheerios. I just bought the box. You feeding yo bitches my cheerios?

Seriously!!! If you don't have a legit reason to suspect infidelity, then sit your ass down and actually just work on making a better relationship. This low self-esteem/I'm insecure bullshit is sooo annoying. If I had a girl turning everything into a fight about my supposed cheating, I'd probably find a piece of ass...fuck her to kill and say, "wasn't gonna...but you put the damned idea in my head. Happy?"

Like Dino said, yeast infections are pretty common amongst women for various reasons..... to me it sounds like she's just using the only thing she can against you because she can't let your past go.

And this is kind of morbid to say, but she's just bitching about a yeast infection. It could have been worse, you could have given her something like syphilis. Then she could bitch til the STD covered cows come home.

Tell her to relax and buy some Canesten.
She should probably do a little research on VYI's herself because she sounds like an idiot to me.

I just have to point out that this kind of statement should have a qualifier "and does not keep himself properly clean" or something like that.

she wasn't dumb when i first met her.....and i don't think she's dumb now. I just think she's been listening to her negative (and dumb) friends way too much and is misguided.

I think the two vaginas in this thread just invalidated my theory so I wouldn't worry about it.

dinosaur 11-27-2012 11:05 AM

WOOT! I'M A VAGINA!

The following is a reply from the anonymous original poster

now i understand it much clearly...now another question to the women who answered:

what about intercourse during a so called "episode"?
should it be avoided? will it exacerbate the situation?

have any guys gotten a yeast infection from intercourse during such an eisode?(circumcized or not)

dinosaur 11-30-2012 09:29 PM

Well, as a "vagina", I guess I can answer...

Sex with a yeast infection sucks. It is uncomfortable, not pleasurable in the least, and it can make it worse. I would not recommend it.

To speak rather frankly, and possibly a little crude...The body and any medication the "vagina" is taking to rid herself of the yeast infection is all about flushing it out. Having sex pushes it back in.

Usually it is only a "no-go zone" couple days, but anything affecting the natural balance in her box just makes it worse.

Phil@rise 12-06-2012 02:49 PM

Tell her she needs to learn to wipe front to back. Switch up her tampons and change them more frequently better yet use pads. Wash more regularly and switch up her soap. Bottom line its her not you.

Alatar 12-11-2012 11:53 AM

Start buying her cranberry juice and getting her to eat yoghurt.

scottsman 12-11-2012 08:02 PM

MONISTAT!!!

Gridlock 12-12-2012 02:20 PM

The irony of watching a group of guys try to fix a yeast infection in a vagina like its a broken fuel pump.

"Use better gas...don't let the tank run so low...its old...don't stick the nozzle in so deep"

Nope. Yeast infection does not equal urinary tract infection. Also, the cranberry juice thing is an old wives tale not supported in evidence.
