Is this story moving because we see that homeless people are human too or that the police are humans too?
it's moving because no one would have thought such an act was capable in a zionist country which we know this is just western propaganda...amiright da comrade?
i think it's moving that someone who's less fortunate is being helped by someone who took the time to care.
side note: i've offered to buy timmies for a homeless person that was opening doors for change in dt last winter and he declined and said he wanted money instead of a meal =\ Posted via RS Mobile
Similiar thing happened to me a few times. I was walking downtown when a guy asked for change, I had a banana on me so I offered it to him but he didn't want it. I was frustrated that he'd only take money and nothing else. Since then I've only offered my cans to homeless people. Waiting for a redemption story from the homeless.
I REALLY want to believe this is as it appears. A good cop doing a good thing for a less fortunate man. And the homeless man truely being greatful with a warmed heart for the gift.
But I have to believe it is either a) an NYPD stunt or more likely b) the homeless man has already traded them for drugs/booze...
I think people in the USA and Canada fear cops on top of the racial profiling and racial tension that goes on there on a daily basis... to me this scene is like a an Obama change, helping hand hope, that everyone would like to see but in reality will never happen as long as the "democracies" stay puppet states.
Tic Tac, is that you?

Oh yeah, and whenever I read your posts...this image comes to my mind.
You haven't read all of CiC's posts, or else you'd think of this guy:
__________________ nabs -Brianrietta are you trying to Mindbomber me? using big words to try to confuse me jasonturbo -Threesomes: overrated - I didn't really think it was anything special, plus it was degrading, marching to the bathroom to fart all that semen out Babykiller -And next to that, there's a little dot called a period. It's not the stuff you eat out of your sisters gash, it's a handy little tool for breaking up sentences so they don't look like nonsensical retard garbage.
especially the line " i never had a pair of shoes", that's the most fucking retarded statement i've ever heard from an american. so they're telling me, that homeless man is over fucking 30 years old, living in america and he's never had a pair of shoes? cmon
after reading that line, all i interpreted from the rest of the article was: bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
i'm all for the positive, optimistic "pay it forward" mentality, but if you think deeper into this, it's pretty obvious that this was pre-meditated.
do you know how much a homeless person can make in a day from just sitting there with a funny sign and a change bucket? i'm sure if the guy wanted to, he coulda made enough to get a pair of fucking shoes by now.
he's fully clothed, so how the fuck did he get those clothes? there were never a pair of shoes in the countless number of trashbins that he's rummaged? the hobo never realized that keeping your feet warm was crucial to keeping your body warm? he never had an urgency to find a pair of fucking shoes throughout all these years, just suffering every winter?
looks like the NYPD just tried to copy that white guy that bought fries and water for that homeless woman in china.
i dunno about you guys, but i think i can see deeper than what's "portrayed"
but again, if people are fooled by this PR stunt and try to help others, i'm all for it. more power to the whole idea!
A good story however there are hero cops in more serious situations everyday from every force. Obviously not very much is published like this, but this video from closer to home came to mind:
It's a nice story, but seriously why such a huge deal? There are people doing way bigger things that are gone unnoticed, and these are the people I truly respect.

And this would have gone unnoticed as well, if a tourist with a phone camera hadn't spoken up - the cop did it all without any fanfare, without telling anyone, "HEY, LOOK AT THIS GOOD THING I DID!"

Update - new stories are emerging that its a setup... and an enhanced photo has been made of the original showing a reflection on the window as if two studio cameras are in the background!.. maybe it was meant to be a video clip at first. http://i.imgur.com/UuMur.jpg

No.
1) Studio camera do not work outside of a studio environment
2) Those "cameras" are something else entirely
3) I can't tell you the exact address, but Google Street View the Skechers store in Times Square and look around the block. You'll see exactly what those things are.
