I must live in a bad area code or something.

1981 XJ650, 20% discount
$85/month for basic, 1 million.

1994 ZX6 was $95/month for the same.

PLUJ 10-26-2013 09:21 PM

2004 zx6r

Asked for a quote on a 2010 GSXR 600 and got $140 with the same coverage. I see a 600 in the very near future:D

Just cancelled my car insurance, but also asked for a quote:
8L with MST
$170/month 2011 Ninja 400R
Really wish we had more options for vehicle insurance in BC

That may be expensive, but if ICBC wasn't around (assuming you're young because you have an 8) and it was only private then they either wouldn't insure you at all or it would be much much higher. Young male on a motorcycle is very high risk.

Sunfighter 01-26-2014 06:56 PM

franko - you nailed it!!!

ICBC is the greatest thing in the world for young drivers/riders.... older/safe drivers/riders subsidize the cost of insurance for younger drivers/riders (some who get coverage that they might not even be offered by private companies).

I insured my FZ-09 a few weeks ago. $1,000 for basic and another $350 for my optional stuff through Megson Fitz. My insurance on my Ford Edge went up this year as well, I'm paying an ass ton for vehicle insurance.

skyline32 02-04-2014 11:22 PM

you guys are right as there any many people about my age who ruin the fun for all, therefore make us all pay for it through insurance -.-

ICBC: 120/month for basic + liability
Beacon: 700/year for collision/theft/etc

So about 1660$ for 8months of coverage?

WAT LOL

do you have a surcharge or something?

68style 07-19-2014 08:48 AM

I'm curious why so many people pump up their 3rd party with a motorcycle? The chances of you hurting someone besides yourself in any accident are pretty minimal?
