Boyo Visions 4.3" Rear Mirror with Bluetooth (VTB43M) : Back Up Cameras - Future Shop

how is this one

boyo vision 4.3 rear view

is it clear? does it have parking lines?

any recommendation?

roughly how much total

its a 2008 toyota avalon

i think the stand alone screen is too out of place

Technologies only so useful when you actually use it. Just having a rear cam installed does not 100% prevent future accidents. You might be better off installing an audio back up sensor for your parent's car. Even when she's not paying attention / in a hurry / etc while rear parking.....at least the beeping sound will warn her.
A rear cam on the other hand....you can't guarantee she will look at it each and every single time.

VTL402HD / VTL422HD // Vision Tech America, Inc.

I installed this for a customer that worked quite well.

I prefer parking sensors way more than a backup camera. People tend to get to dependent on the camera and forget to use their mirrors. You might have eliminated hitting the pole but now you have the possibility of side swiping the car beside you because of lack of attention to mirrors. It honestly all comes down to confidence and having a good sense of where your car is in relation to others around you when backing up.

parking sensors are better for knowing the distance between your bumper and the object in its way because they have warnings and the distance reading. but the warnings can get annoying. rear view camera requires more of your own judgement but allows you to see what else is behind you. some backup cameras come with sensors. but a combination of both seems to be the best but pricey.

As discussed in another thread, the Pioneer camera is by far the clearest image and the longest lasting camera on the market hands down! A little pricey but well worth it. Although
I do agree that sensors are more handy in this instance.
