Anybody on Virgin?? Looking for super basic plan

any body using virgin mobile? I'm looking to port 2 lines into a super basic plan. but with decent reception and doesn't have to bother with AWS phones.

I was recommended by a bell salesman when I got my note 2.

Virgin was having this plan

$30

150min daytime
7pm evening/weeknd
Call display/ Voice mail
canada wide calls
unlimited text, picture msg
200mb data

and I can pretty much get a Razr V for free or some other android I forgot what on a TAB.

I'm looking to switch over my moms plan + my cousin (who isn't here for more than 3 months a year)

any opinions on virgin or other recommendations? Both of them will barely use any minutes, and getting a free phone while not technically on contract is a plus :fullofwin:

I read "anybody a Virgin??"

Koodo/Virgin are the best options for that price range and plan until the end of December. Both offer the same $30 plan but phone options are the differences.

They also share the same network, since Telus/Bell share their HSPA+ network.

The other option is do prepaid, pay for the phone up front, and in the case of Virgin, you can basically add what you need, from $0.35/min or change it to a higher prepaid option as necessary while they're here.

Not everything need be postpaid, after all.

Am I the only one that saw the title and though it said "Anyone a virgin?" Lol

I got virgin, on a month to month without contract. If you do the 30 and are willing to sign a 2 year contract and discuss your porting over 2 numbers, you can most likely talk them down to a $5 or so discount per month per line. Theres a Virgin Canada facebook group and on there you can find the email address for the virgin care support dude. If you email him telling him u have 2 numbers and deciding between them and koodo, i'm sure you'll get something thrown in. I did the same a couple years ago and have a permanent $5 month discount.

hmm do u need a phone? if u do then look for like a s2x galaxy ace deal or smoething where at the end minus all the giftcard and stuff ur tab works out to less than 75bux.. if u don't and u don't really need data.. just get the chatr 25bux unlmited local talk

have you looked at chatr?

AVS_Racing 12-19-2012 11:43 PM

^^ well it would be nice to get a phone since its free on tab. I'm looking to get the Razr V or S3 but the Razr comes with a $100 prepaid visa.

AVS_Racing 12-19-2012 11:45 PM

^ I know someone whos had very bad experience with chat r before, and the $30 plan from chat r doesn't have data. Also neither my mom nor cousin needs unlimited talking.
