No real goals set since I already accomplished most of them in my life.

For this new year I would like to try and bench 4 plates and barbel curl 185.Other than that, just go with the flow of things.

It's a beginning of a new year and also a whole new adventure awaits.

Just want to add, more than anything I want health for my family. Especially my wife's aunt, with whom we are very close, who just found out she has breast cancer. What a way to end 2012!

Here's hoping 2013 brings better things for me and my family

tomatogunk 12-31-2012 07:25 AM

  1. make more commission at my job
  2. save more money
  3. grow my network of friends & professional contacts
  4. be a better DJ
  5. get a girl

I should have included that in my post also, my uncle just passed away last night from alzheimers as bad as it sounds it's kind of a relief because he was in such bad shape it was hard to see him like that

I had a pretty incredible 2012, but I think part of my "success" (for lack of a better term) was the fact that I didn't set any hard goals in January. In my experience, setting too many goals only sets you up for disappointment by the year's end. I think everyone should commit to looking for opportunities for self-improvement each day and from there, success will follow.

One final thing - a common goal here seems to be "finding a girl". I hate to repeat cliches, but "finding a girl" gets you nowhere; sometimes, the right woman is right under your nose.

Come down to Gastown

Seriously, of all my addictions and vices, the absolutely toughest one to resist, is eating nachos and drinking beer. I am literally 10/10 in euphoria when consuming corn chips covered in greasy toppings and sipping on an ice cold beer. I get a high like doing a line of cocaine from it.
