Back when bands actually had talent and could perform.

Nowadays they quickly record everything because they know they can "fix" it later.

i dunno that was pretty meh.. if it wasnt for the Choir i thought it would have been pretty lack luster, hard to compare the original but it sounded better to be from 1975..

They recorded at Mushroom Studios here in Vancouver. How the group formed and came here is an interesting story - can't remember all the details but it involves Vietnam Draft Dodgers and family coming to Canada to visit where key members met.

Ann Wilson = one of the greatest rock singers ever. Just listen to Heart's "Alone."

pastarocket 01-02-2013 06:22 PM

Awesome performance by Heart! Robert Plant was certainly moved by Ann Wilson and the rest of Heart.

To this day,Ann Wilson still has one of the most powerful & pure female voices ever recorded, she can sure belt out a power ballad like no other.

Her farts have more musical talent than 90% of the socalled female singers of today.

My favorite version of Alone by Heart (Acoustic version)

They have done led zeppelin covers before as well. Hearts cover of “the battle of evermore” from the singles soundtrack as “the lovemongers” is a better cover in my opinion, has a much more personal sound.

Ann and Nancy Wilson are the best ever!

So good. STH is a song I haven't listened to in full for a long time, perhaps in many years just because of how much I've heard it when I was young (there are a lot of great songs like this that have just been overplayed), but that was refreshing. Listening to this cover really rejuvenated my interest and awareness into why it really is still one of the best rock songs ever written...

StylinRed 01-04-2013 01:05 AM

oh didn't know the drummer in the cover by heart is John Bonhams son
