V8-RWD / V10-AWD

Let's forget what vehicles they are and look at the basics, this is a stupid "comparison".

A lack of equipment in the face of a completely different beast does not constitute poor build quality.

Traction is a big factor, not just torque. The VW is pulling from all 4 wheels. Looks tame, but that V10 does makes a ton of torque.

:werd: 553 lb-ft of torque

so is the driver of the lifted truck a douchebag? :troll:

GabAlmighty 01-02-2013 10:13 PM

Wow, so much wrong with that video... Obviously if you hammer on it like that you're gonna wheel hop, why he wasn't in 4x4 is a msytery to me too.

Let's see him do that with a Cummins, hell I could probably take him for a lap.

edit: and is that Chevy even a duramax? I mean it's got stacks but i didn't see any coal...

dared3vil0 01-02-2013 10:15 PM

People don't seem to understand that these so called "tow offs" are nothing more than traction tests... In this case, AWD>RWD. That is all it is.

Timpo 01-02-2013 10:23 PM

yeah put GT-R in there it'll smoke both

It's not a Duramax, if it were there would be a badge on the hood.

The Silverado most likely has a 6.2L with 403 hp and 417 lb-ft, which puts it an engine class significantly below the Touareg; that is in addition to the RWD vs. AWD, AT vs. Street tires, soft vs. relatively stiff suspension, difference in gear ratios...

If WolfGang isn't trolling, he doesn't have a very firm understanding of vehicles.

What is this American shit?

It is a Duramax, you say i don't have a firm understanding of vehicles when you cant even recognize the sound of diesel. You can clearly see the badge at the end of the hood towards the windshield and you see the 2500HD logo on the side. On a separate note, I was obviously trolling if you put a non retard driver behind the wheel of the Chevy you might see better results. I still think the Vdub would put up a fight.

Yep. Once the truck started spinning, it was all over. I'd like to see a repeat of the test with the truck in 4 low.

1990TSI 01-03-2013 07:28 PM

I'd love to see a real american made truck in there. how about a stock F-350....

with 400hp and 800ft lbs in 4 low :) rip that vw in half
