How extensive is the damage? *PICS* long story short, the NSX as what ive been told, hit a rock and the damage is on the front right wheel. Judging from the pictures attached, does anybody know what needs to be replaced? also where can I find the parts for this car other than buying it new? The car is located in Asia, looking to buy parts here and ship it there. http://imageshack.us/a/img833/6944/i...108wa00001.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img405/3466/i...0108wa0001.jpg |
Definitely the strut, maybe the arms as well? |

Ask for better pictures.. UCA? LCA? I'd say your looking at the full strut replacement, possibly LCA and whatever that piece infront is (looks like something sheared right off) |

I'd be damn worried about the car after such damage. Example: http://blogs.insideline.com/roadtest...478-114450.jpg |
steering rack looks fucked too....was that "rock" a mountain? |
PM me the VIN - and I can do an internal parts search and see if anyone in North America has what you need. |
Thanks for the legwork roastpuff. I'd say your buddy hit a curb, not a rock. And the difference in pictures just confirms this. |
thanks for your help guys. i guess what he meant was a curb not rock. lol Shantz: ill ask for VIN # when I get the chance and pm u. he told me the whole suspension is done. so atleast that I know. so according to what I got so far is full suspension, LCA, arms. does the axel look bent? any place you guys can recommend me to find used parts for a good price? again, thanks for the help! |

To answer your question given that is is the front of an nsx there is no front axle. And a good place to look for used parts for a start would be nsx forum, I think it is called nsxprime.com or something like that maybe someone could correct me on that. |
that damage looks bad I dont want to scare you, but maybe the frame is bent a little. Last time I crashed my corolla, I pretty much needed to change the LCA + Steering Hub unit (bearings) + Top hat of my suspension. Even with that much replacement, I still needed camber bolts at like 2.5 degrees for my wheel to be perpendicular to the road and reached factory OEM acceptable camber range... so with out the bolts I will be running some major positive camber... (you know the bolts you use for he hella flush scene) And I dont know how work can be done with aluminum compared to high strength steel. So good luck to your friend... |
upper shock mount is probably bent out of shape too ur friend most likely jumped a curb at high speed or understeered into a curb hard, definitely no rock can do that damage, unless it was a bolder lol |
do you guys know where I can find parts of the NSX? preferably used but I guess new will be fine too? Thanks |
