See that's why I enjoy owning crappy cars. I don't need to worry so much about the paint.

6-speed SVX I had for a year or so.

holy shit, this is going to be a good one.....

I can't find pics of my b16 swapped civic as it was the first real "scc" car I owned.
But the car that I built because of Revscene was my supercharged Integra GSR. It was fast, sounded like pissed off bees, and made tires squeal as they clamored for traction.

candy carbon hood. The first around here, iirc.

I sold that and bought my first Subie, a WRX wagon.

Finally got into my my current STi in 06'.

here's another piece of "common knowledge" for you, they have these things called 'Wands' at D.I.Y Car washes that, get this...Don't freeze up! And then you don't have to waste hours of time putting multiple coats of wax on it in the summer! But hey, if it makes sense for you to scrub your car with a brush filled with rocks from the underside of a 4x4, giver hell  .

I can't tell for sure but it's either the Laguna Seca or LeMans blue (special order only I believe.) One of the most sought after colours for that entire generation of M3.

Then I got the '04 RSX-S in 2007-Current

Although I understand where you're coming from, it could be a number of different factors and circumstances. It could be that the person's car was written off, or sold off due to mechanical upkeep and the associated costs, or was sold off in turn of a profit.

Or it could be that some people want to experience other cars and not stick to just one brand, you know, like being open minded?

death_blossom 01-24-2013 04:37 PM

yah. some people aren't as sentimental as others. no emotional attachment to their cars.

it's called Estoril blue.

only available on special request from the dealer. everyone of these are stamped with an "individual package" under the hood as a special order.

it was available on e36 m3, x5 4.8i and some Z coupes if i remember correctly.

Laguna Seca is another sort of blue, more baby blue like and pastel tone. LeMans blue and monte carlo blue look similar but those are on e9x. they're hard to come by in the e46

Wands don't clean it as thoroughly, i do take my time during summer to make my car as perfect as it can be and i do take multiple steps in doing so.

thanks for your concern. You don't have to assume i'm clueless is what i'm getting at.

Oh, wow. I didn't know they offered Estoril blue on the E46. I thought it was an exclusive E36/7 and X5 colour! Thanks for the info! :)

wbean 01-25-2013 10:37 AM

yeah it wasn't offered, that's why it had to be special offered.

when i did my research on the car apparently you can get any colour you want on bmw but it has to be special request from the dealer to the manufacturer and they stamp in with "individual". you had to be a preferred customer or had purchase previous bmw from that dealer before for them to process the custom color.

so the pheonix yellow are individual package too because not offered as a tradition color for e46.

: )

Damn i thought carbon black was going to be my favorite colour, i think i might change my mind now!

Laguna seca blue is too light for me, this is the perfect blue.
